For me a major element of social vr is how amazing and detailed a world is where you meet. Sansar in vr offers so much in the visual department that no one else comes close to right now as well as the freedom and space to create heavily massive and detailed experinces. Our render engine coupled with that freedom makes us still the best right now.

The other thing is Sansar offers something very unique - its a relatively clean brand and the aesthetics aren't.. not to say compromised.. but they are very realistic and neutral. So like, VRChat conjures an idea - and for a lot of people its loud, annoying kids. SL has its own reputation. Altspace is a bit cartoony.. Sansar offers something absolutely unique for a certain kind of events organiser.

You all are so much more to me than random people on a platform, I am happy to call you all my friends.

Yeah, from what I read there are still a lot of features to come in metahuman creator. And yes I like Sansars technique a lot, you can get great variation in the face, and it feels really fluid and intuitive, thats one reason i am looking forward to having all the body sliders, and ability to plug that system into a custom avatar would be the cherry on top.

You haven't heard of Sansar? That was literally Linden Labs foray into a VR version of Second Life. It never really took off, and the project has changed hands a few times since then, but it is still alive. I've had a lot of fun in there over the years. Some of the worlds on that platform are the most reminiscent of the science fiction dream of VR that some of us grew up with I've ever seen.

personally i like sansar because it's platform where things just look good and personally I care about how my stuff looks... not a big fan of other platforms as most of them has really crappy light and shaders. As for the profit, 62% being taken by linden really takes away purpose of getting into the market.

i've had a lot of fun in horizon worlds as a Quest VR user, but the great graphics of Sansar makes it feel like a real metaverse (i'd like to see that achieved on mobile vr someday). Meanwhile I never really cared much about vrchat despite it being the most popular

one of the things I really like about Sansar is the scene editor. certainly it can be further developed but it's pretty powerful particularly compared to how other platforms approach this like building everything around another game engine's level editor.

I think one of the things that really makes second life or Sansar really unique is the idea that you can transfer their currency into real money and that could be one of their main selling points.

Sansars Graphics are like 2023, everywhere else the VR graphics are like 2018 ath this point.
